Vishal Garg: From Form to Essence

My portraits moved from realism to emotion - and finally to identity.

My art has grown with me.I began by studying the discipline of the Renaissance - anatomy, shadow, patience.
Then came Impressionism, where feeling mattered more than perfection.
Today I work in minimal and graphic forms, reducing a face until only personality remains.
This site is that journey - in pigment and pixels.

Section I: REALISM

Here I learned to slow down.
Every shadow had weight, every line had purpose.
This stage taught me how a face is built - not just how it looks.

Section II: IMPRESSIONISM

I loosened control and let the brush breathe.
Accuracy gave way to mood.
The portrait became less about likeness and more about presence.

Section III: MODERN, WPAP

Now I remove details instead of adding them.
Geometry, colour and contrast replace realism.
The goal is no longer to recreate a face - but to reveal its character.
